Goodbye 1.2 TB cap: residential cable plans now uncapped

2024-09-15 · FaultLine Communications

TUCSON, AZ — After listening to a year of customer feedback, we are removing the monthly data cap on all residential cable tiers.

Effective immediately, all residential cable plans no longer carry a monthly data cap. The change applies retroactively for the current billing cycle, with overage fees credited back to affected accounts.

"We have been reviewing customer usage trends and the data simply does not support capping anymore," said the product lead. "About 4% of customers ever hit the cap, and the operational cost of administering it exceeded the revenue."

The change brings FaultLine cable plans in line with fiber and business plans, which have been uncapped since launch.
