TUCSON, AZ — A 500-household trial bringing multi-gigabit speeds to cable-served neighborhoods.
The new tier, branded Fiber Apex 5G, delivers 5 Gbps symmetric service to residential customers across the Tucson metro and select Phoenix neighborhoods. Service requires an XGS-PON ONT (provided) and a multi-gig capable router.
Apex 5G is targeted at power users running multi-station home offices, content creators, and gamers who need consistent low-latency throughput. Pricing is $189/month with a 12-month term and no data cap.
"At 5 Gbps, the router and your client are usually what slow you down," said Tomás Reyes, VP of Network Engineering. "We are publishing tested CPE and switch configurations to help customers actually achieve the rates we deliver."
